Atwater Area Help For Seniors Looking For Volunteers

What kind of community do you want to grow older in? The Atwater Area Help for Seniors (LAH/BNP) is recruiting interested Volunteers to serve as board members on the local non-profit’s board of directors.  Full Board Meetings are held once a month (currently the 3rd Wednesday at 10:30 am – ~12N but are subject to change depending upon membership composition / needs).  Various Committee options and contribution focuses available (e.g. are you business-minded? interested in program development & grants? enjoy community events and fundraising? have ideas for expanding, strengthening volunteer opportunities for all ages across the community in serving seniors?).  The program has enjoyed Community support for over 26 years. Annually the Board has professionally facilitated Strategic Planning session.  Anticipated soon is official notification of 501(c)(3) designation which is yet another step in the maturity of the program which opens new doors – but is also a growth curve for the board and staff. Your role in helping to guide the program through changes into the future with a continued focus on helping our seniors, and on quality, will be rewarding, exciting, and greatly appreciated by area seniors and those family members and neighbors striving to honor their wishes by helping them to remain at home in their community. Interested folks can call Connie Overlie, Chair, at 320-262-6870, or contact any Board Member to find out more.
