CLIMB Theatre Performance At ACGC Jr/Sr High School

CLIMB Theatre Addresses Bullying, Harassment at ACGC Jr/Sr HS

 CLIMB

Whether it is physical, verbal, social, or online, middle school students see bullying and harassment more than any other age group. Most of them know that it’s wrong. But why would they choose not to take action? CLIMB Theatre’s play Lockdown explores this question, and illustrates both the positive and negative possible consequences of intervention. CLIMB Actors will model positive behavior for 6th through 8th grade students at ACGC Junior/Senior High School in Grover City when they perform Lockdown on October 2nd.

About the Play

Todd Slichter has managed to steer clear of the rumors, gossip, insults, and fights rampant throughout his middle school.  That is until Todd’s lab partner, Stacia, begins bullying his other lab partner, Byron.  As Todd and Byron build an unlikely friendship, Todd begins to feel empathy for his new friend, especially when Stacia launches a vicious campaign of cyberbullying aimed at Byron.  Still, it takes a lockdown to finally push Todd into action.
